In Shady Bears, you have two important missions: 1- collect acorns, honey, or other items in the forest, and 2- escape the pursuit of shadows that are just as fast as you. Not just one shadow, but possibly 3-4 shadows at once. They are your clones, running as fast as you and existing with a single goal: to catch you. Run fast to escape these mischievous shadows!
How to play this casual game
- Collect acorns: Acorns appear randomly in the forest, with no fixed pattern. Run and jump to catch the acorns as quickly as possible. Each acorn is worth one point. The more acorns you collect, the higher your score and the more valuable the acorns become.
- Collect honey jars: Similar to acorns, honey jars also give you points, but exponentially. Honey jars only appear for a limited time. Grab them as early as possible to get more points.
- Avoid the shadows: The first shadow appears when you collect the first two acorns. Subsequent shadows will appear and chase you. The chase will become much more difficult. Run fast and change direction constantly to shake off these shadows.
- Avoid the bee swarm: Bee swarms can appear at any time and fly everywhere. Avoid being stung or your forest adventure will end.
- Destroy the Shadows: Fireflies carry green light bulbs that can help you destroy the shadows. Each green light bulb can destroy one shadow, easing the pressure of your chase.
- Choose a Level: Play Shady Bears in order from level 1 or randomly select any level and test your quick reflexes across new playgrounds. Or you can choose a random level and start a new chase.

- Left or Right arrow key: Run to the left or right. Shady Bears is designed with a closed playground, meaning when your bear runs through the far right corner, it will reappear in the far left corner.
- Space: Press the Space key to jump upwards and reach the acorns or honey jars in higher positions.
